F1 2022: Story mode canceled, but super cars and cross

The next part of the Formula One video game series of Codemasters is to receive rumors an important change.

As insider Tom Henderson reports, Story mode is removed in the previously announced F1 2022. However, a return of this mode should take place in 2023.

But with "F1 Life" there will also be a new feature. It will be described as a kind of stroke, where you can see a look at the life of a real formula 1 driver. Players should be able to buy or collect luxury items, including expensive watches and glasses.

But much more interesting seems the introduction of super cars. These should not only be collected about "F1 Life", but can also be driven themselves. Even online races against other players on one of the 23 routes is possible. However, the super cars drive only with each other. No race can be driven against a Formula 1 vehicle.

According to the report, players should not worry about that because of the new Super Cars resources from other areas of the game development of F1 2022 were removed. It will continue to give a career mode.

Last but not least, F1 2022 should then have a cross-play function for the first time.
