The Nintendo Entertainment System (NEW) as well as the successor Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) are undoubtedly among the consoles, which have sustainably shaped the video game history. Her spiritual father, the Japanese Masaryk Femur, has recently died.
As shown by a report of the Japanese colleagues of Orion News, Femur is already died on 6 December 2021 at the age of 78 years. The more detailed circumstances for his death are not yet known. In early years, the Japanese initially worked for the Group Sharp, for which he sold photocell technology to various companies. Among other things, Nintendo belonged to his later employer. Arrived there, among other things, he came together with Junta Yoko to build the photocells in Light-Gun games.
In 1981, he received a call of the then Nintendo President Hiroshi Yamaguchi, who gave him the task of developing a video game platform in which modules (cartridges) should be used. From this, a few years later, the Nintendo Entertainment System (known in Japan also called Favicon), which came to the market in 1983 in Japan. Even with its successor — the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (Super Favicon) Femur was the driving force in development. The gaming industry has lost another formative personality.
