VfL Wolfsburg: Schmadtke comments on Kohfeldt's future

VfL Wolfsburg would like to continue the way with coach Florian Kohfeldt in the next season. "Assume that we will go into the new season with Florian Kohfeldt," said Managing Director Jörg Schmadtke after the 1-1 (1-0) at VfB Stuttgart, which secured Lower Saxony, at Sky.

A little later, Kohfeldt added that he was "firmly convinced" to be able to continue in Wolfsburg, "Jörg's statements were made accordingly. We have something before next year!"

After the "minimal goal" achieved, Schmadtke announced another conversation with Kohfeldt (39), whose contract runs until 2023. "Things are not solely responsible for Florian Kohfeldt, he led the team to where we wanted them in the end," he said.
