Silent Hill: Konami commits colossal mistakes and a troll is looking forward to

An unknown internet troll has grated Konami the domain of Silent Hill and uses the website now to annoy the Japanese Publisher with a very specific Tweet.

The "Silent Hill" domain has a new owner

Oh, Konami. The call of the Japanese video game manufacturer has been controversial for several years. Especially because of the stepping-humming treatment of the "Silent Hill" series and the inglorious end of P.T. AKA Silent Hills. Now this loveless handling of the legendary horror series has achieved its sad highlight .

The publisher has apparently forgotten to secure the official Internet domain of Silent Hill or renew in time. Quite to (damage) joy of a fan who has just caught up with the domain and now used to droll Konami belonging.

If you call Silenthill.com now, you will not see any more information about the horror series, but only a tweet of Mashahiro ITO , the Art Director of Silent Hill. Ito had recently been expressed with clear words to his design of Antagonist Pyramid Head:

stupid error or marketing stunt?

Why this tweet is decorating the website and what the new owner of the domain wants to tell us exactly, completely must be left to your own interpretation . However, it is clear that this Fauxpas Konami is not likely to like.

Especially since you have to assume that the company is to be very interested in being back to the well-known domain. After all, there have been rumors that Konami plans to revive the "Silent Hill" series. There would be a corresponding domain practical.

Silent Hill 4 Review | The Swan Song Of Team Silent Just ask if the new owner simply gives the coveted domain or whether the Japanese company has to split the wallet. For a marketing stunt , the loss of own website would be a fairly strange road to make the franchise again.
