Helmet Test SteelSeries Arctis Premium

Until recently, I had never used SteelSeries game accessory before, it's embarrassing, I know. I enjoyed my time with the Prime Gaming mouse and I was very curious to know how the level of detail and the fluidity could be transferred to a steelseries headset in the same new range of accessories. After using the Arctis game helmet over the past two weeks, I will admit that it will not be my number one choice in the future, however, for the non-initiated or solo player, it's really worth it to take a look at it.

The Arctis Prime is not a helmet that will draw your attention in the middle of a crowd. That said, it is in no way a ugly helmet. The entire frame, the atria and the headband strap are all black. On the headphones themselves, the gray SteelSeries logo is the center point and they are magnetic and removable, the customization is an option to move forward. I like the fact that you have the opportunity to customize it according to your personality and style. And to continue with its simplicity, there is just a mute button and a volume knob on the headset side of the helmet.

In terms of sensations, the premium Arctis seems to have been designed to last long. The aluminum alloy and steel frame is flexible, but solid and the leatherette pads are mild, comfortable and large enough for all types of ears. The adjustable strap is something entirely new for me on a helmet, but in fact, I like it enough, and unlike some of the adjustable straps on the physical setting, there is no chance that a change of accidental size in the middle of which is modified. The retractable microphone itself is also extremely flexible, which really allows a full range of movements to find the perfect position for the entrance sound.

As the Arctis Prime is a wired headset, you might think that the threads will embarrass, but it is very easy to install on several platforms and they do not prevent at all the game. In the box, there are two Different Cords, a shorter for use with laptops, Xbox systems and PLAYSTATION systems and a longer with a split end for desktop computers. There is nothing worse than trying to play with cords or parameters even before you can use the helmet, so the simple and fast configuration is a definite advantage.

TOOK DOWN MY FIRST PRIME! | WildStar Gameplay | #53

The Prime Arctis is only your base helmet, but with better sound and excellent ability to delete noise. Even with my background air conditioner and a TV on the background, I did not hear much apart from my game. There are no sophisticated extras provided here, do not use SteelSeries Engine software And no extra buttons or amplifier to adjust the sound design to your game style. None of this would be a problem if the sound design was perfect, but unfortunately, this is not the case. Do not misunderstand, every step, shot, car diet or door slammer will be clear and you can react quickly to everything. You will simply not be able to tell your friends or teammates what's going on. And it is because for as wonderful as the entrance sound, the microphone exit sound is much quieter than it should be.

In discourse on discord, my level of microphone barely reached half of the "test sound bar" and my friends on discord and in the game of the game all said that my voice was calm and sometimes almost non-existent. And I was talking to a stronger volume than usual! Fortunately, you can increase the volume of your microphone on most platforms - I have been more successful using the Arctis prevails on the PS5 on my PC - but even in this case, the exit volume is disappointing.

Unlike many other helmets on the market, or even compared to mice of the same premium range, the Arctis Premium is a little light to my taste. I want there to be an option to increase the output audio volume to be at the same level as the input audio, even if it was only an additional button. Given the price of 100 USD, which is relatively economic, I want to have a coherent sound in all areas. I want to be able to play with my friends without fear that they do not hear my calls when I play FPS titles. I am disappointed that's what is missing here.

If you play a lot of multiplayer games or spending a lot of time talking with friends, the Arctis Prime is probably not the helmet for you. On the other hand, if you just want a comfortable and powerful headset without spending a ton, this headset should be on your radar. The Arctis Prime is an excellent option for those who wish to immerse themselves entirely in a gaming experience. __
